Carajillo Recipe
Ingredients:
• 1 shot of espresso (or strong coffee)
• 1 shot of Licor 43 (or a similar sweet vanilla liqueur)
• Ice cubes (optional, for a cold carajillo)
• Lemon peel (optional)
• Sugar (optional, to taste)
Instructions:
1. Prepare the Espresso: Brew a shot of strong espresso or coffee.
2. Warm the Liqueur: In a small saucepan, gently heat the Licor 43. You can add sugar at this stage if you prefer a sweeter taste.
3. Combine: Pour the warm Licor 43 into a glass. Add the hot espresso to the liqueur. Stir gently.
4. Add Ice (for Cold Carajillo): If you prefer a cold drink, add ice cubes to the glass after mixing the espresso and liqueur.
5. Garnish: Twist a lemon peel over the drink to release its oils and then drop it into the glass.
6. Serve: Enjoy your carajillo immediately.
